Electric horse fencing
A good horse fence should be one that prevents the animals from any mishaps, injuries, and keeps them within the boundary. Of the many others, electric horse fences are also an option for horse owners. These can be added to the already existing wood or vinyl structure as it can save money spent on stalling separate posts.
Since it delivers a mild shock if touched, animals learn eventually not to lean on it and keep a safe distance. It prevents any other animals also from entering the farm. A drawback of this horse fence is that it is difficult for the animal to see it from a distance.
Permanent electric wires are made of aluminum, stainless steel and high tensile wires. Horse fence made of aluminum wire consists of two or three strands of smooth wire. These wires are given a bright, smooth finish to make it visible to farm animals.
Aluminum fence wire is more expensive than the others. However it has some advantages over the others. Aluminum doesn’t rust; it conducts electricity much better and weighs much lesser than the steel wires. Fourteen to seventeen gauge is the common range of wires used. A lower gauge number denotes a heavier wire.
